product description
Givenchy Black Lace Mock Neck Blouse w Black Silk Camisole Fr40 Us8-10 Nwot. The lovely lace in this Givenchy semi-sheer blouse is surprisingly juxtaposed with a rib knit mock neck in an elastane or other stretchy yarn. The blouse has elbow-length sleeves and closes with a zipper at the back of the neck. Attached at the shoulders inside the blouse is a silk crepe de chine camisole with, a V-neck in front and back and spaghetti straps that can be adjusted for the perfect length. This blouse is a loose-fitting, versatile style that will create an instant dressy outfit with other pants and skirts in your wardrobe. Oddly, there is no fabric label in the blouse, and I can't venture a guess as to the lace, but the camisole is definitely silk. There is a size label: French size 40, which is considered equivalent to a US size 8. In this case, the blouse is oversized, so we are also recommending it for size 10. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size and compare with a similar garment that fits you.* Blouse Measurements - Underarm chest measurement is 44"" - Torso is 44"" - Shoulder width is 19"" - Length down center back is 27.5"" Camisole Measurements - Underarm chest measurement is 38"" Condition Excellent condition with no apparent flaws. Appears to be unworn.
about GIVENCHY
Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy launched the label in 1952 as a line of simple, light separates. Two years later, the Balenciaga-mentored Frenchman debuted a full ready-to-wear collection. A meeting to fit a young Audrey Hepburn (he was expecting Katharine) marked the start of a legendary designer/muse relationship that spanned forty years; he used her as the face of his first perfume, L’Interdit, and she became the first actress to sell a scent (today, Liv Tyler mugs for the brand’s beauty wing). The house hit a home run with fashion heavies like Lauren Bacall, Jackie O, and Princess Grace, and Givenchy went on to launch a men’s line in 1973. By 1976, the brand included fabrics, furnishings, shoes, jewelry, and a Ford Lincoln Continental. Givenchy joined LVMH in 1988, and after Hubert’s retirement in 1995, it gained notoriety as an incubator of style stars like Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. The relatively obscure Riccardo Tisci was named creative director in 2005.
