product description
Givenchy leather wallet. Externally the leather is worked to deliberately obtain a slouchy appearance, hence the ""ripples"", but it is protected by a material that protects it from contact with keys, and which makes the leather shinier. It's not paint. Externally the leather has no defects anywhere on the wallet. The inside is in full grain leather: pleasant to the touch and smooth. Logo visible but serial number discoloured, personally I struggle to distinguish the numbers well, because they are in contact with the coin purse. Silver hardware with micro scratches visible only in very strong light and with zoom, honestly not deep and not even visible in some hardware - see photo of the slider, one side does not appear to have any scratches even with zoom and strong light. All the photos are present at maximum resolution and with very strong zoom, as well as some photos, always at maximum resolution and strong light but from a normal distance, to allow you to understand how microscratches can affect the beauty of the wallet. And they don't affect, as visible in the photo, at all. Front logo: very slight discoloration in a very small spot at the bottom left in the G located at the bottom left - in the photo. Interior: - full grain leather coin purse with soft leather slider; - 4 card/card compartments on both sides in full grain leather, therefore 8 compartments in total; - 2 compartments, located behind both wallet-sized card holders in full grain leather in the upper part, the one visible when the wallet is opened. The remaining part is the internal lining, in a very pleasant to the touch fabric which is nothing other than the actual inside of the wallet, or rather how the inside is protected in the points where the other side, the external one, is in leather. This is because it is not a thick wallet, unlike many even if it is extremely capacious. Internally there are no scratches anywhere on the leather. - with the wallet open, as shown in the photo, all the internal sides are always in full grain leather. Overall it is in excellent condition and I purchased it precisely to reduce the size of my wallet. In the photo you can see how thin it is but roomy at the same time if necessary, because it can expand a lot if necessary. Just as there are all the photos of the interior, of every single part. No box or dustbag. All photos were taken at maximum resolution with iPhone 15 pro, strong light and zoom.
about GIVENCHY
Hubert James Taffin de Givenchy launched the label in 1952 as a line of simple, light separates. Two years later, the Balenciaga-mentored Frenchman debuted a full ready-to-wear collection. A meeting to fit a young Audrey Hepburn (he was expecting Katharine) marked the start of a legendary designer/muse relationship that spanned forty years; he used her as the face of his first perfume, L’Interdit, and she became the first actress to sell a scent (today, Liv Tyler mugs for the brand’s beauty wing). The house hit a home run with fashion heavies like Lauren Bacall, Jackie O, and Princess Grace, and Givenchy went on to launch a men’s line in 1973. By 1976, the brand included fabrics, furnishings, shoes, jewelry, and a Ford Lincoln Continental. Givenchy joined LVMH in 1988, and after Hubert’s retirement in 1995, it gained notoriety as an incubator of style stars like Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. The relatively obscure Riccardo Tisci was named creative director in 2005.
